Parts of Valenzuela and Bulacan will be experiencing water service interruptions from Sunday noon (Feb. 14) to 5 a.m. on Feb. 15, Maynilad announced Tuesday.


In an advisory, the water concessionaire said the water interruption is due to the conduct of network maintenance activity in Valenzuela which is part of its continuous effort to improve water services in the West Zone.

In particular, Maynilad said it will be interconnecting the four feet diameter water pipeline to the existing four feet diameter water pipeline located along Maysan Road corner I. Francisco St., Malinta, Valenzuela City.

Affected areas by the 17-hour water interruption in Valenzuela are the following:

Brgy. Balangkas
Brgy. Bisig
Brgy. Coloong
Brgy. Dalandanan
Brgy. Gen. T. De Leon
Brgy. Isla,
Brgy. Karuhatan
Brgy. Mabolo
Brgy. Malanday
Brgy. Malinta
Brgy. Marulas
Brgy. Maysan
Brgy. Palasan
Brgy. Parada
Brgy. Pariancillo Villa
Brgy. Paso De Blas
Brgy. Pasolo
Brgy. Poblacion
Brgy. Polo
Brgy. Rincon
Brgy. Tagalag
Brgy. Viente Reales
Brgy. Wawang Pulo

Also affected is Brgy. Catanghalan in Obando, Bulacan.

Residents in areas that will be affected by the water interruption were advised to store enough water supply.

Maynilad said it also has water tankers on standby which is ready to bring clean water to the affected areas if needed.

“Pagbalik ng water service, hayaan munang dumaloy ang tubig nang panandalian hanggang sa luminaw ito (Upon resumption of water service, let the water flow out briefly until it clears),” Maynilad added.
